Artist bio/statement:
Rosa Rodríguez was born in 1977 in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Rosa grew up in a family of artists therefore her interest in art sparked at a very young age. She started studying art at the School of Fine Arts of Santiago in 1989. Through her career she has had many great opportunities, such as working at the Culture Center of Santiago setting art exhibitions and coordinating plays. Rosa masters pictorial techniques, oil, watercolor and acrylic. She is plastic artist in constant progress. She has seen the birth, evolution and projection of many artists, she has learned from them and it truly shows on her work. Rosa moved to Perth Amboy in 2011 and has kept working on her passion.
