Health Screenings & Wellness Access

Health Screenings & Wellness Access

PARTNER partners with Central Jersey Medical Center to bring free health screenings and wellness resources directly into Perth Amboy’s Gateway Neighborhood. These events help residents access preventive care, health education, and connections to services that support long-term well-being.

What this program includes

Through this partnership, residents may have access to:

  • free health screening events in the neighborhood

  • bilingual health education sessions

  • one-on-one help connecting to healthcare resources

  • referrals and follow-up support

Why wellness access matters

Strong neighborhoods depend on more than housing. Health and wellness support helps residents stay stable, reduce preventable health issues, and access services before a crisis happens.

By bringing screenings and education into the neighborhood, this program reduces barriers like transportation, language access, and limited time.

What we aim to deliver

This partnership is designed to support Gateway residents through:

  • 3 neighborhood health screening events serving approximately 75 residents

  • 2 bilingual health education sessions

  • bilingual outreach materials distributed to more than 250 residents

  • one-on-one navigation support for approximately 25 residents

  • transportation support for 10–15 residents who need follow-up care

Who can participate

Health screening events are intended for residents living in Perth Amboy’s Gateway Neighborhood. Participation is free. Some services may require registration depending on the event format.
