Community Dinners (Mesa del Barrio)

Community Dinners (Mesa del Barrio)

PARTNER hosts free community dinners for residents of Perth Amboy’s Gateway Neighborhood. These gatherings create space for neighbors to connect, share concerns, and learn about local programs that support housing, opportunity, and quality of life.

What is a Community Dinner?

Community Dinners are welcoming neighborhood events where residents can enjoy a meal, meet their neighbors, and connect directly with PARTNER staff and community partners. Each dinner is designed to strengthen relationships, share updates, and make it easier for residents to access programs and resources.

Why community dinners matter

Neighborhood revitalization is not only about buildings, it’s also about people. Community Dinners help reduce isolation, strengthen trust, and create a consistent place where residents can stay informed and connected.

These dinners also help PARTNER connect residents to services such as home repair support, education and workforce programs, health screenings, and neighborhood cleanups.

Part of Gateway Neighborhood Programs

Community Dinners are one of several neighborhood-based programs supported through PARTNER’s Gateway Neighborhood work. Together, these programs strengthen community connection while supporting long-term neighborhood stability.
