Neighhorhood Watch Block Party

Grant Goal: Neighborhood Watch Program
1. Work with the Police Department to develop this program block-by-block
2. Create texting system used to report crime and protect identities of individuals or businesses
3. Create or strengthen a “sense of place” between the residents and community

Objective of block party launch
• Build community within neighbors
• Identify residents to lead neighborhood watch initiatives with the Police Dept and our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
• Create best practice model of neighborhood watch utilizing PAPD’s Neighborhood Watch program guidelines
• Identify measures to sustain crime prevention and community building programs

  • Annually contributes to fund self-sufficiency, housing counseling, and financial literacy education.

  • In escrow funds. In 2022, we had 83 FSS program participants and graduated 7.
